Aboubakar Traoré, originaire de Bobo-Dioulasso, est un prodige du kamélé n’goni et un chanteur exceptionnel.

Il conte le fabuleux répertoire des griots mandingues, dénonce les difficultés quotidiennes de son peuple 

et rend hommage aux anciens qui ont marqué l’histoire de son pays et de l’Afrique.

Fusion mandingue aux sonorités modernes, Balima Foly est né de la rencontre de musiciens bruxellois et le répertoire traditionnel d'Aboubakar Traoré.

Aboubakar Traoré, originary from Bobo-Dioulasso, is an amazing kamélé n’goni player and an exceptional singer. He relates the fabulous repertory of the griots Mandinka, denounciate the everyday troubles of his people and pay tribute to the ancients which influenced the history of his country and of Africa. Fusion of Mandinka with modern tones, Balima Foly is born from the encounter of musicians from Brussels and the traditional repertory of Aboubakar Traoré. 

The arrangements have been collectively created, based on the compositions of Aboubakar, there are also jazz, modern and traditional influences.

is een schitterende kamélé n’goni speler en een uitzonderlijke zanger.

Hij speelt het prachtige repertoire van de mandinka griots, geeft de dagelijkse moeilijkheden van zijn volk aan en hij brengt hulde aan de ouderlingen die de geschiedenis van zijn land en van Afrika hebben beïnvloed.

Fusie van mandinka en moderne klanken, Balima Foly is ontstaan uit de ontmoeting van Brusselse muzikanten en het traditioneel repertoire van Aboubakar Traoré. 

De toonzettingen zijn gezamelijk opgesteld, op basis van de composities van Aboubakar maar ook met jazz, moderne en traditionele invloeden.
