RE:ENCOUNTER

Nous organisons, en collaboration avec W-Art et le service culture de la commune de Saint-Gilles, le concert de clôture du festival Gnawa de Bruxelles 2024. 
Le concert est organisé par l'asbl CRIX mais aura lieux dans la salle de spectacle de la maison du Peuple au Parvis de Sain-Gilles.

We are organizing, in collaboration with W-Art and the culture department of the municipality of Saint-Gilles, the closing concert of the Gnawa festival in Brussels 2024. The concert is organized by CRIX but will take place in the concert hall of the"Maison du Peuple" at the Parvis de Sain-Gilles!

re:encounter# est né de la rencontre entre sept esprits musicaux, chacun.e à l'avant-garde de leur sous-culture à Bruxelles. Assemblé à l'initiative de Robbe Bey Latré, le collectif oscille entre improvisation et composition instantanée, mêlant ses énergies dans un récit musical méditatif, envoûtant, groovy et plein d'esprit qui résonne avec la diversité musicale bruxelloise.

Un griot (Kaito Winse), un maâlem gnawa (Hicham Bilali), un mille-pattes de groove (Falk Schrauwen), une trovadora rêveuse (Paula Léon), un poète space jazz (Joos Vandueren), un ethnographe trance (Robbe Latré) et un special guest forment la compagnie cette fois-ci pour nous transporter dans un voyage musical inspirant !

Venez les rencontrer pour un concert exclusif coproduit par le Crix Café, la commune de Saint-Gilles et W-art.

re:encounter# is the recurring encounter of seven musical spirits, each at the forefront of their musical subculture in Brussels. Gathered at the initiative of Robbe Bey Latré, the collective balances free improvisation and instant composition, blending its energies into a meditative, en-trancing, yet groovy and soulful musical narrative that resonates with Brussels' ungraspable diversity.
